As the key part of the shearer, the cutting part’s failure rate occupies a large proportion of the failure rate of the entire shearer. Therefore, its working perance directly affects the reliability of the shearer. This paper mainly studies the dynamic response of the shearer cutting part during working. The main reasons affecting its reliability are studied through simulation. First, the geometric model of coal cutting was established in the 3D modeling software UG. By using the co-simulation technic of HyperMesh and LS-DYNA, the FEM was pered by the finite element pre-processing software HyperMesh, and the LS-DYNA solver were called to solve the model. Finally, the drum loads during its working were obtained. Secondly, based on the multi-body dynamics theory and gear system dynamics theory, a virtual prototype of the shearer cutting part was established in the multi-body dynamics software Adams, and the simulation results of LS- DYNA were used as loads to apply to the centroid of the drum. The dynamic parameters of the transmission part were obtained. The dynamic response of the system under real load is analyzed in the time-frequency domain characteristics of the acceleration and meshing forces of the transmission system of all states. In order to carry out the finite element simulation of gear meshing, HyperMesh was used to mesh the geometry model. Then, the meshing model was imported into ANSYS Workbench to establish the FEM and solve. The influence of the rocker arm displacement on the gear meshing and the law of stress during the meshing process were analyzed. Finally, the failure of the 3rd axis was analyzed based on above results. Then through the interface between HyperMesh, Mechanical APDL and Adams, the rigid-flexible coupled dynamics model of the shearer cutting part was established. And the three sets rigid-flexible coupled model-flexible rocker arm, flexible gear, flexible rocker and gears-were simulated. The results of three sets model were analyzed to study the effects of rocker arm and gear deation on the dynamic response of the cutting part. Finally, through the interface between UG and ANSYS Workbench, a parametric model of the rocker arm of the cutting part was established and 万方数据 IV imported into Workbench to build the FEM. After solving the FEM, an optimization model was established and simulated, with the maximum stress and mass as the optimization target and the rocker wall thickness as the design parameter. Through the analysis of this paper, a complete solution for the optimal design of the shearer cutting part is established, and it also provides technical support for similar optimal design.
