There is a new building, with a temporary exhibitions area, with 240m2 and 8.30m high, capable of receiving any exhibition that s to the conditionings of the international legislation light, ventilation, air conditioned, setting services, etc.. Rehabilitation of the building, Solar Veiga Cabral, er“Banco de Portugal” , will receive the permanent exhibition on the first floor. On the ground floor, will function a library, reception and restaurant, as well as other adjacent services. The two buildings will be connected by a new volume, that corresponds to the proposed program circulation between temporary and permanent exhibitions; and complementary program to the museological activity, such as educative service, administrative cabinet and museology technical cabinet. After this 3 volumes restructuration, there are left some interstitial spaces that will be fulfilled this way trucks access ramp, for exhibitions loading and unloading; small yard to park cars; Pedestrian ramp, from Emidio Navarro Street to the restaurant, esplanade, that will serve these out of the regular working hours.
